Starring Trixie Mattel, Katya & Peaches Christ, co-curated by SF Sketchfest.

This year at Clusterfest, Katya, Trixie Mattel and Peaches Christ will come together to recreate one of history’s most important narratives, a tale as old as time. A story of innovation. A story of revolution. The story of how two of the greatest minds of their graduating class came together to create one of the most important inventions of their generation. The story of how two friends from Tucson moved to LA, became businesswomen, and changed the world with one simple idea: Post-It’s! Or, depending on who you ask, the story of how one of them invented Post-It’s and the other one said “Why don’t we make them yellow?”

Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion was a movie eons before its time. Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino were perfect, the script gives you jokes with a message about female friendship, and it passed the Bechdel Test in the 90’s–a time when it was basically against federal law for a movie to pass the Bechdel Test. And the looks? The looks hold up.

Join us at Clusterfest as we pay homage to a film that opens on two single girls lying in twin beds watching Pretty Woman and climaxes with a bizarre three-way choreographed dance sequence. And with Trixie and Katya playing Romy and Michele, we will finally find out: betwixt the two, who’s the Mary and who’s the Rhoda?
